The UConn rowing program, which became a varsity sport in 1997, has rescheduled its 20th Anniversary Tailgate celebration to take place prior to UConn football’s home game against USF on Saturday, Nov. 4 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Conn.

University of Connecticut junior forward Napheesa Collier (O'Fallon, Missouri) was named the American Athletic Conference Preseason Player of the Year as announced by the conference Monday. Classmate Katie Lou Samuelson (Huntington Beach, Calif.) and senior Gabby Williams (Sparks, Nev.) join Collier on the Preseason All-Conference First Team, while senior Kia Nurse (Hamilton, Ontario) claimed a spot on the Preseason All-Conference Second Team.
